Responsibilities

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Junior Compliance Officer to join our team in our Limassol office. 

Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Monitoring and assessing, on a regular basis, the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures, policies and procedures put in place, and the actions taken to address any deficiencies in the firm’s compliance with its obligations; 
  • Monitoring of the internal policies and procedures of the Company; 
  • Advising and assisting the relevant persons responsible for carrying out the investment services to follow the Law; 
  • Assisting on drafting written reports to the Management Body on at least an annual basis, on the implementation and effectiveness of the overall control environment for investment services and activities, on the risks that have been identified; 
  • Coordinating various regulatory filings; 
  • Developing compliance policies and audit program procedures; 
  • Complaints monitoring, handling, filling and reporting as well as remedies undertaken or to be undertaken; 
  • Working with in-house and external advisories to monitor, and then implement responses to, regulatory developments that impact the businesses 
  • Ensure effective implementation of Know your Client (KYC) procedures; 
  • Perform Enhanced Due Diligence to High Risk Clients; 
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of clients and transactions for the purposes of identifying suspicious accounts and behaviour with respect to anti-money laundering; 
  • Monitor client verification/onboarding systems, processes and procedures; 
  • Review and approve of the Company’s marketing material;

Requirements 

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or any other related field 
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience as a Junior/Compliance Officer within a CIF 
  • Excellent knowledge of rules and regulations of CySec, MIFID II 
  • Excellent Computer Skills 
  • Excellent Communication Skills in both Greek & English (Written & Spoken) 
  • Strong Analytical Skills, organized, diligent and able to pay attention to details

Responsibilities

Handling accounting and bookkeeping requirements as part of month end close process

Ensuring transactions are recorded in the correct ledger with adequate details

Preparing monthly management accounts

Completing payment and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices

Liaising with Payroll, TAX, VAT providers and authorities

Preparing bank, PSPs, EMIs and client money reconciliations

Reconciling Company Bank accounts

Managing petty cash, daily transactions, document flow, cash levels and reconciliation completion

 

Requirements

ACCA/ACA or a Degree in Accounting and Finance, Business or any other relevant field

At least 2 years of prior experience in an accounting role and ideally within the Forex / Investment world

High proficiency in macros, vlookup formulas, and PivotTables

Solid understanding of IFRSs’, VAT and accounting principles

Responsibilities

Reconciliation of client money on a daily basis

Processing deposits and withdrawals of clients

Preparing daily balances reports for all banks, EMIs and PSPs

Preparing monthly reports regarding Balances, Losses, Charges, Chargebacks

Resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner liaising internally and externally as appropriate

Delivering management information and reports as required

 

Requirements

University degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field

Excellent knowledge of the English language, both oral and written

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel

Knowledge of FX-Backoffice CRM, or other CRMs, MT4 and MT5 would be considered as an advantage

Problem solving and investigative skills would be considered advantageous

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors
